Getting ready for the new year

How did this gregorian fellow not think that tomorrow is New Year's Day? At any rate I am looking forward to the days getting longer. Been busy this evening. Rode home on the bike first time in over a week. I have high hopes of riding it in the morning.
We got our christmas tree up saturday but I had to cut over a foot off to make it fit. So tonight I formed a wreath with the limbs. I will bring me some berries home tomorrow to decorate it.
When I made french toast tonight I melted a few spoonfuls of honey in just a little milk before adding the rest of the milk and eggs.
For the syrup I grated the peel of an orange along with the juice from orange and a squirt of lemon juice in a pot with about a cup of aunt jemima and a little sugar to thicken it back up The family loved it!
When I got home this evening A pot was froze on the porch. Made for some interesting pictures
